This place is serious comfort food and has been for me over the last few years (especially when I used to drink and be hungover a little bit more often). Swinging by to pick up a bowl with all my favorite toppings always felt like part of the healing process for me.

I've tried most of the protein options and lean towards the Spicy Pork but they have a ton of options here and veggie/vegan if I'm not mistaken. Definitely give them a call from try here or one of their other locations.

This place is basically the Korean equivalent of Chipotle. When I come here, I do not expect authentic Korean food, and I certainly do not get the authenticity I crave for. How it works is that you can choose to create your own bibimbap by picking the size of your bowl, type of rice, protein, and veggies. 3.5/5.

Brown Rice also has a soju and sake bar to the left side of their food stand. It's a very small bar (approximately 5 seats), and they have a few options for soju. I think the bar is a bit cramped, but it is also quite cozy and a nice way to end the night. 3.5/5.

Great service and the food was so good!
Vegetables are very fresh. I am so happy I tried something new..I usually stick to the burger place/indian spot.

This review is for sake only. I had just eaten at another stand inside Mount Vernon Marketplace but wanted a drink before heading out. I saw that Brown Rice has a soju and sake bar to the left side of their food stand. They had quite a few options to choose from. I selected a bottle of sake and read my book while enjoying the sake at the bar. Such a relaxing way to spend an hour in the afternoon. If you like sake or are interested in trying it, Brown Rice's little sake bar is a fun way to try some sake!

One of the only places I've tried in the Mt Vernon Food Market because it's so good we keep coming back!

This is a great place to go to if you want a fast healthy meal. They have 5-6 different rice options (brown, white, wild, etc.) and kale for the greens. I like my salad and/or rice bowls piled high with toppings and sauces and they have pretty much anything you would want in a bowl. The kimchi cabbage is always a must for me, and a fried egg is sometimes a nice addition. There are endless options for a meal here.

The staff plate the bowls so carefully that each meal looks gorgeous (although I usually forget to take a picture because I dig into it so quickly). The chicken tastes like authentic Korean bbq, and is usually my go-to. Today I went with the salmon and although it took a little longer, it was worth it since it tasted healthier. I also got ginger with it so it reminded me of sushi. I'm always curious to try the grilled squid since it sounds yummy and different.

I haven't disliked any of the sauces I've gotten on top. The spicy mayo isn't terribly spicy, and the sesame oil adds a nice flavor as well. We hit Brown Rice at least once a week since it's a favorite in our office!
